They made knives for nearly everyone! Case, Schrade, KeenKutter, later Remingtons and Russells. They made gazillions of well made advertising knives, and they made high-grade knives.
Quite a few Craftsman/Sears knives also. If you have a nice example of a Camillus made knife, or can add to the list of contract knives above, please do so!! I'll kick it off with these three stockman knives; All nice looking, and all well made! If any one of these was the last folder you were ever allowed to have, I think you would be proud of it, and it would serve you well!
Too bad the last owners of Camillus lost their vision!!

Geez, after all of the Albany felts I put on the paper machine when I worked at a paper mill, you'd think I'd have one of those.

You can find them on the bay from time to time fairly cheap.

They were Camiluus made Vince? Never knew that.

Steve,I poked around & Camillus has this pattern identically. It was in Schrade's "open stock" line up.No one told me this,I just searched around & got info on allabout pocketknives & deducted it,myself I am pretty sure of it,though,

Camillus was the source for Cold Steel Carbon V knives.

Camillus was the unsung giant of the knife world. During WW2 most of the knives issued to servicemen were made by Camillus. TL-29's, the vast bulk of the MK2 fighting/utility, scout knives, and even common stockman pattern pocket knives were issued out. Sometime the civilian knives, like the stockman, were snached off the shelves and given a quick blade etch of "Property of U.S. Government" on the main blade and handed out to airmen and sailors. They also made a special model for the 1st special service group that had a phillips screwdriver to deal with the screws on ski bindings.

Even the bulk of the much loved Ka-bar were made by Camillius.

My dad gave me a new Camillus when I was 12. When I went into the army I left it home so as not to have it stolen or lost. I gave it to my son Matt when he was 12. He's still using it now and then. Not bad for a knife made in 1953.

The loss of Camillus was a tragic loss to the people who love plain old working pocket knives.

Hi,

I've got a couple of Camillus slippies. I've two that belonged to my Grandfather and 4 I've picked up. I should put together a family portrait. But My favorite is my Grandfather's slim Senator.

And here is three I picked up this summer at some garage sales.

Here's a large Cold Steel stockman and a Camillus Roughcut stockman. The family resemblance is unmistakeable.

Here's the Cold Steel with another Camillus. As you can see the jigging is identical.

Here's a close-up of the tang stamp of the Camillus. Carbon V is the name of the mystery steel that Cold Steel uses.

These Remingtons were made by Camillus.

Before 1985 Camillus made the Buck 300 series. Here's my old Camillus-made 303:

4 line ebony with the gimp shield.
I believe that it's older than the lineman pouch that it came in, alas a mismatched pair...
This TL29 has steel liners and the most dangerous, hard to open screwdriver blade i've played with:eek: I tell people thats what the pliers are for! to open the screwdriver!
