Up for passaround is the D. Ralph design Camillus EDC in 154. This is a used knife so it's not factory sharp, I'd sharpen it but I suck at sharpening.

This is the framelock that received a bunch of attention a year or so ago and I never bought one until now. It's a pretty decent knife, in fact the wife says it may become hers so you better hurry if you want to try it out.

Anyway the normal passaround rules, 3 day eval, lets start in the US first. Also I'm now asking for your phone number in your signup info. It won't go out to everyone, but I'll have it to urge it along if need be. I've probably forgotten something I'll have to add later. :rolleyes:

Oh, I remembered something, I'll probably order these geographically too.

I like the shorter lists because it doesn't get delayed as much so I'll probably not let the signup run much longer.

Here's my quicky review:

I purchased a pre-owned ATS-34 Camillus EDC and have carried it for some days now. This guy is a framelock and the blade has a recurve.

The good: It's a solid little knife that feels good in the hand. Open smoothly and lock is solid. I really like the curvey paddle like pocket clip.
Tip down, yeaahaw!

The not so good: I still think dual thumb studs are a dopey idea. They catch when you pull them out of the pocket. Also the thumb ramp could be a bit more pronounced.

Hi Guys,

The Camillus EDC arrived this afternoon. I will check it out Tues - Thurs. and have it on it's way to John in Boise on Friday. Out of box impressions are . . .

1. I like the close detent, it keeps the knife closed. It does require a little more force to one hand the blade though.

2. useful blade design.

3. Blade lock seem pretty sturdy.


I will drop a line on this thread when it ships to confirm the day.
