camo gear cool or not cool

Camo for clothing...sure...but not that commercial stuff that blobs at 25 yards.
Wear it where ever you like, but not head to toe.
Camo jacket? Sure, but leave the pants and hat home.
Pants? Why not but you're gunna leave the jacket and hat home, right?
Now there is stuff that just shouldn't be camo.
Like wallets. What? You're gunna make a bet in a duck blind?
Flashlights as said above.
Toilet paper.
Boots...they are already in the leaves and dirt.
Knife blades...Uh...it's in the sheath right? And if you have your knife out and are worried about being seen, you have bigger problems.
Cars, motorcycles and SUVs...especially those with camo trim.
Speaking of trim...golf/polo shirts with camo trim are just rediculous.
Bed spreads and furniture shouldn't be camo.
Niether should children's clothing...you want to keep track of the little boogers, right?
I feel like I left something out...
Oh yeah, camo underwear...definatley a no no.
Please, keep your pants ON.

But a good camo jacket on a cool day...why not?
Just leave the pants and hat home.

i just noticed the camo underwear
you know, if you get to see panties, i don't think you'll be minding that they're camo ^ ^

i occasionally wear some old day desert pants i have to the store/etc, i dont dress up like rambo though (ie all cammies, pants, shirt, etc) unless i am going hunting then sometimes i do.

as far as other cammo items other than tiger striped striders i dont care for it myself.

No camo, but I almost exclusively wear subdued colors (black, tan, OD green,...) and utilitarian clothes (cargo pants etc.) though.

As a graphic artist I'm required to wear black.
:D
I consider the camo jacket a splash of color.
:D

I have an old nato jacket that I carry behind my seat for emergency. I had some old Dark Blue Police Reserve longs that were very comfortable, elasticated ankles, but not politically correct here so I tossed them. I had some longs copied and made up in denim by a tailor for winter driving at night where you can slip tracksuit trousers under.

as far as BDUs if ya wear either the pants, ot the shirt, not bad, wear them both and ya look kooky imho.

of course matters none to me how folks dress though.

Not to get all serious or anything, but your point about kids is really important. Our two girls are supplied with only bright pink or orange shirts/jackets when we're out in the boondocks :) It helps keep the little snots from sneaking up and hiding my beer .

I definitely agree on hotties wearin camo, however...

Little kids, bright colors and a whistle in their pocket.

Hotties on the other hand.................
:D

Hey Guys....

Most of my clothes are camo...
I wear it ALL the time...

I've got ACUs, CADPAT, Black JTF2 pants ,3 Color Desert and looking for some MARPAT and all kinds of other camo including Canadian and British DMP jump smocks and even some Snake Skin Illusions..

Got nothing to do with being a Wannabee, I just simply prefer it and find military, and hunting clothes more comfortable...

Maybe I'm a little more Redneck then some of you guys,, but I like it..:)

Not unless it is needed. just like wearing blaze orange stuff during hunting, when not out hunting....but around town, makes you look like a Marroon, according to bugs.

THE only exceptions. camo gimme hats from a really cool company or outfit. If you can afford to get a gimme hat from Cheytac or AI, then wearing it is ok.

Cammies are really in style in Vancouver, and so common that it looks fine and in place. Not really my style though, I feel it is too "mall ninja". I like to wear earthy colours, and cargo pants (for practicality as much as style).

I really love the NyCo ripstop BDU's for hard outdoor work and camping, espcially in hot weather. Since they only come in woodland or 3 colour desert, that is what I wear - too bad I can't find them in solid colours. I don't like the look of wearing both top AND bottom together though, unless it is for a game requiering concealment, or for hunting etc.

Camo accessories, like wallets look cheesy. Leave that for kids.

for what ever reason i like camo, i like the geen, tan, black the best. So cast your vote. Camo on gear ( wallets, knives, flashlights etc...) cool or not cool.

why not? why worry what others think ? life to short..as a former us marine (nam)/(+us army) i admit i have a few sets .but then im a survivalists .(:D

for the money they are great to work in as there rugged and built well..i have no problems with wannabes.thats there life..

i use to be a awannabe knife maker and i now ive been a damascus bladesmith for close to 20 years lol..:p

Speaking of mall ninjas... I saw one at the Flying J truck stop in Lake Station, IN! They have some fugly little car with a red lightbar that patrols the parking lot. I always found that a little annoying. But then the other day, I look up and there is the security guard... Wearing a tactical vest that musta come from CheaperThanDirt! ROFLMAO

As for the camo issue... I like BDU pants, I get them in black or OD. No camo. I have a pair of camo-covered boots, but I only bought them because they were dirt cheap at wally world. On the other hand, I do wear a camo boonie hat quite often. I have one in woodland camo, the other is 3-color desert. I guess they don't NEED to be camo pattens, I just like them better that way. But all my mil-style gear is black, OD or tan, and I would say that at least 90% of all my clothing is either black or green in some shade or another...

Cool, if you are in the woods, coming from the woods, or going to the woods. Okay, if you are doing hard physical work and don't want to get your good clothes messy\dirty. Uncool, the rest of the time.

+ 1 to that.

(edited to add.)

I love cargo shorts and BDU pants, but never in camo or black, just khaki, brown, green, or navy.
