I wish i had a camera. I have quite a few shelters that i have built, i wish i could share them.

This was on the Superior Hiking Trail in northern Minnesota. The Split Rock River was just feet away from our campsite and my wife and I could hear the water gurgling all night.

Nice! Your tent looks really big. Looks like a beautiful area!

Actually, it's just a two person Marmot. It weighs alot for how little room it has and the vestibule sucks. I'm thinking of getting a Big Agnes Seedhouse 2 for Yosemite next summer.
The whole Superior Hiking Trail is amazing. It runs parallel to Lake Superior from Duluth to Canada and is one amazing vista after another. I invite anyone to try it, they won't be disappointed. :D

Nice pics HD - that Sierra stove sure looks handy!

Couple pics from my honeymoon in the Canadian Rockies where even the backcountry campsites have nice picnic tables!

Here are a few pictures of a five day elk/deer scouting trip my hunting partner and I took about one month ago. We were camped where Black Warrior Creek converges with the Middle Fork of the Boise River, Boise Nat'l. Forest, Idhao.

This was a vehicle camp, as you can see. We were 31 miles in the forest from a paved highway. We were not trying to "rough it:" just trying to scout out for elk and deer season. (No elk or deer, however, plenty of wolves, Black bears and Mountain lions. They feast well on elk and deer.)

Getting ready for a cold night.

Taking it easy with a Bud. A reward for my hard duty with my axe.

That's a 12 year old burn in the background.

Yeah my wife always goes. Then my buddy Kate is my probably next most frequent hiking pal. Then there's an array of others including in those pics RobG and Joezilla from the forums:thumbup:

My wife's idea of roughing it is Hampton Inn. I'll be out with my brother and nephews soon - hope and this time I'm taking my 4yo daughter. Last time I went we had over 4"s of rain in 2 day's. That was last spring. Sure could use the rain now.

hollowdweller - who made that sweet Nessie?
