I entered into a buy agreement with Jason on the 12th of Oct. (jsmithknives) and was told shipment would take place on the 13th. I know Jason has been active up to the 18th on the forum. After attempting to PM and EMAIL I have had no communication since the 12th. If someone knows Jason and the reason he has not been able to communicate please relay that info here. Or if someone personally knows Jason and his phone number it would be appreciated.

Above is the text from our PM , Promised ship date, payment received etc. The complete PM took place on the evening of the 12th.

I know others are waiting to hear from Jason also, feel free to add to this thread if warranted. I also wanted to say that I understand things happen, illness, family and I am not pointing a finger , just want to be able to open lines of communication again.

Well that makes three of us! Here's the link to my sad story, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682562. But, unlike you guys, I don't really care what's going on. I just want my product or money back. When I spend money on knife making materials I'm borrowing it from my budget for my kids. If it goes down the drain sour, it is a MAJOR bummer! Guess I'll go file a claim with PayPal and see what happens from that side.

If anyone knows how to resolve this I'd be DEEPLY appreciative.
 
Just an update. Jason (jsmithknives) appears to be active on another well known knife forum. His account has shown activity as late as today. (10-30-09)If anyone wants specifics PM me.

I can only assume at this time that Jason has, had no intention of sending items after taking the money. :thumbdn:

I have filed a paypal dispute also.
 
I also seem to be with you guys. I purchased some damascus scraps from him. Last contact (saying he would ship tomorrow), was fourteen days ago.
 
Update,

I was contacted by Jason (jsmithknives) via PM on the other forum last night with an apology and the reason he did not ship the 5 items to me and the other buyers. I was assured by PM that my item would be shipped today. I will update with a tracking number, or receipt of item, or -----------?

I would also encourage Jason to respond here in this thread as this is were he sold the items.

Lets hope this issue will be resolved to the satisfaction of all and I can close this unfortunate thread

To start off with I just want to offer my humble apology to all of the gentilmen that I have caused such grief for the past couple of weeks. I was out of town for the past two weeks at my sisters weding and a bit of a vacation, before I left I was in a bit of a rush so a friend offered to drop off the five packages for me at the post office, needless to say it was never done. I do accept full blame for all of this mess I as should have just done it myself and not relied on someone else to do my job for me. I did recieve your emails on Friday but did not have any answers till today as to be able to resolve this awfull situation.
As it sits right now I have mailed all packages out and will be emailing tracking numbers to all parties tonight. I took the time to reopen all of the packages to include a small token of my apology in with each package. I truely had no bad intentions to anyone and completely understand your frustration and concerns and hope that each and every one of you will accept my apology for my foul up here.
All of the effected parties will be recieving an email tonight with a tracking number and shipping info.....

All is cool. Got my stuff today, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7453579&postcount=15. From my present perspective, the only real issue apparently was lack of communication. Even when you were back and discovered all our correspondence and frustration you waited more days to reply until you had tracking numbers. In the absence of knowing it is only natural to make assumptions...and we all know what that means. (Assume=ass+u+me) Looks like we did that pretty well. I'm glad all is cleared up. THANKS!
