I like how people in GKD have no idea what this or the K18 is. Yours is the nicest knife I've seen in weeks and the fact that mine might arrive soon makes it even better!

That's the most CPK Fan thing ever... every time someone posts a new preorder knife, we have to go and see where they were on the list compared to us!

I am 99% sure it's DIW, but yeah, the lighting wasn't as bright. From the color and grain I think DIW for sure, too much figuring for African blackwood I think, plus I asked Jo for desert ironwood. They are pretty well matched and are very dark but between the reflectivity of the buffed wood, the grip texturing, and the poor light it was hard to get the color.

If you did inadvertently end up with Af-BW, that is a very rare bird indeed which I wouldn't kick out of the bed! Nathan's stash of Af-BW and his flair on the material is really a thing of beauty and like no other you'd see from other makers which tend to look flat and somewhat dull (won't name names).

Sooo underrated. Nothing even comes close. Size, weight, blade length, cutting performance. If I could only have one… it would take the cake. It’s so fast In the hand yet I’ve beat the hell out of it and it shrugs it off. If you love fixed blades and don’t have a uf2, you’re missing out
