I heard that Greg will start making balisong and waved folders.
 
Balisong's yes, not sure about waved folders. He does make a sheep's foot blade folder with a "bottle opener" that looks wave-like.
 
There's a recent video on his youtube channel where he says he will be making a Balisong. So yes to the Balisong
 
A Medford balisong? The thing would either give you surgery requiring tennis elbow withing 5 minutes of flipping it, or break some fingers.
 
Unless he got permission from Emerson, I highly doubt he will start making waved folders.

I somehow feel this is likely...

That, or it'll end up taking 5 weeks of constant working to get it to flip properly. I'm not bashing Medford, but they tend to be a beast to break the knife in, and for a guy who has publicly (YouTube) said that opening his knives one-handed was the wrong way to open a folder, it seems odd for him to make a Bali.

Might be interesting if he actually uses reasonably-thick stock the blades and such though, and the weight is kept at a reasonable level.

Just watched the video. Towards the end, he mentioned something that will open on the draw.

My theory is Greg put that in there specifically for your purpose. :D JK!!

In all seriousness, I gotta' tell you, I am completely blown away by the Medford Arktika I recently bought - the design effort and build integrity (and DIFFICULTY) is downright amazing. The thing is a beast with a PHD.

Yep, Ernie and the gang are cracking down on the companies/people that are violated their trademark/patent.

Makers have asked Emerson for permission and have been denied on multiple occasions.

Not gonna happen.

The DPX Hest has a bottle opener. Trying to make a wave feature and call it a bottle opener won't hold up in court.

Nice clip but it really doesn't go into timelines and when Bogi/Cold Steel created theirs..
 
Don't forget that there was a Kershaw folder in the mid 90s that had a wave hook... an unintentionally perfect Pikal.
