Don't forget that there was a Kershaw folder in the mid 90s that had a wave hook... an unintentionally perfect Pikal.
Which model was that?

Yep, Ernie and the gang are cracking down on the companies/people that are violated their trademark/patent.
Makers have asked Emerson for permission and have been denied on multiple occasions.
If it is patented in his name and he stands to make money via royalties, why would he deny them? I could see him not wanting knives he dislikes to "Cheapen" the perceived value of the wave feature, but other than that why not?
I'm not talking smack, I am just curious as to why he would be so selective.
Darrel Ralph custom Maxx folders have been waved before there was ever a patent.

I really wish expensive companies like benchmade or Emerson would let the cheap companies use the axis lock or wave features. Because not everyone likes them and who wants to pay over $100 to not like it when they coulda tried it.
All you need is a Dremel

didn't Greg accidentally (so he says) make a wave knife for Brandon Webb?

Good to know.

The "wave" mods you have done and did on the two Karambits in that video are hooks and do violate Emerson's patent and trademark, unless you are not modifying them for a profit and doing it to personal items.
Phew; good thing I'm covered.
My dremel mods to my knives are for personal consumption only...
