Can we call them Easy Knives?

I pushed really hard for Jeff and Mike to change the name to an unpronounceable symbol like Prince did back in the 90's.

Jeff refused, Mike agreed and it almost ripped this whole house of cards down.

We all go to therapy twice a week together now. The shrink says that were making progress but that we still have a long way to go.......

The Knives Formerly Known As RAT.

TKFKAR

But, we dont care what they're called as long as they're not RATs.

Right....the knives designed and marketed by the guys at R.A.T. will not be known as RAT knives...good luck with that.
How about you just go help Sisyphus roll that boulder up the hill? :P

During some sessions the name is the least of our worries. Especially since Jeff works so hard to try to get us divorced so I'll marry him. And Heavan forbid anyone ask Perrin for a stapler.

It's still pronounced

RAT

for me. Uh-seeee or whatever - come on, it will never work no matter how much you try. That stupid name-change made me loose interest.

I am having a little trouble with the name change,I was quite fond of the RAT name.I mean no offense, still love the product!

Jeff,

Why do you still go by "R.A.T' here on the forum instead of changing it to ESEE? I've done some admin work on vBulletin before and know its pretty simple to change a name. I've also seen on the BF "FAQs" that you can request a name change to Spark.

Yea, that whole "Nike" changeover never really worked out for Blue Ribbon Sports....
or brad's drink to Pepsi Co.
or Diet Deluxe to Healthy Choice
or AuctionWeb to EBay
or Confinity to PayPal
or Sound of Music to Best Buy....

Yea, this changing your name thing is for the birds man... it'll NEVER work.

I'm not sure where folks are getting the name "easy" from. If you follow the basic rules of the English language, then my thinking is the first "E" would not be a long sound unless you had two of them at the beginning, and with two of them at the end that would make the ending of the word a long sounding "E". Correct? (S E). But, we dont care what they're called as long as they're not RATs.

Because in english, two vowels separated by a single consonant gives the first vowel a long pronunciation. For instance, these is pronounced "theez", not "thess".

Now, if I was a mestizo, I'd say "Ehs ee", but being a 'Murican, I say "EE see".

Plus, the follow-on to the RAT pack is going to be the ESEE Riders, which makes no friggin sense if you pronounce it "EHS ee". :p

That's my story, and I'm stickin to it.
