Can we get an official word on the Izula folder?

I hear you, but I'm only interested in Ti framelocks (with the Hinderer lockstop)

And apparently they aren't doing a framelock on the izula folder and made no mention of Ti so I'm picking up a HEST folder while they're available. It is a bad ass looking knife with top end materials.

I disagree. I'd be extremely happy if they stuck with the originally suggested D2.

That said, the folder in my pocket right now is 1095 and it's a fine knife. BUT it would see the grinder less frequently if it was D2.

As I am now able to use only small blades, and I luv ESEE's steel. I really !!! really!!!! did I say Really? Want one of those!!!! The only reason I have Not bought a HEST, is the # of owners that get poked by the pry bar. This folder looks like it will survive a Nuke. I really want one. edgy :thumbup:

I hope so too. Probably why no frame lock. Seems to me like that would push the cost up there.
 
Personally, whenever it does happen....
........I'd be "tickled pink" if it looked just like this rendering. ;)

I figured that it would turn out similar to my kershaw skyline. Liner just on the one side with the lock.

The left handed hest folder is for sale at knife center. Outside of seeing it posted there I have not seen anything written about it. Then again I have not read all the post about the knife.

I ordered the Hest the other night. Still looking very forward to the Izula folder. Thanks for the updates.

Man I wish you guys would stop posting that rendering! If that thing comes out close to what the renderings look like, it will be the most expensive folder I’ve ever bought. I don’t think I’ll hesitate to pick one of these dudes up. The concept is just awesome. The HEST folder is cool but bigger than any folder I want to carry.
 
The bottom line with ESEE is any knife bearing the ESEE name will be made in the USA. Period. With that said, Shon and us are just too busy at the moment to put time into a folder, but it will indeed happen. I assure you of that. And when it does there will not be a better folder manufactured in the market anywhere.

I know you guys are under a lot of pressure to make the Izula folder, but I'd like to ask you to please stop. Don't make the knife. I'm really, really happy with my fixed blades. I'm thinking about quitting folders for good. The only things I'm holding on to there right now are the Delica 4, and I must admit the Axis lock is slightly tantalizing, but I think I can overcome these. So please, don't do this to me.
