I wonder if a CG SAR 8 will be done ? Do you think it might be the "jimping" which may not be able to be coated that is the issue ? Has there ever been coated "jimping" ....Did the HG55 CG have it .....
It ya mean the thumb jimping then yep, the coated HG55's had it.

I'd be more interested in the CG SAR8 than paying for satin. Don't see too many user SAR8's right now and that is sad
Agreed on the user part, and it is such a shame to buy such quality steel as INFI only to never know it's full potential. Ithink the satin is well worth it in the long run. I stand by the SAR 8 SE still being my first choice if I could only grab one Busse, but thankfully I won't have to. That full convex with nuclear treatment just cant be beat and is so easy to get shaving sharp with just a few strops, even after cutting through thick sheetmetal like you see here.
Personally, I want to know I got what I paid for and my INFI P38 testing proved to me that all of my tips were sound (except for a little bit on the Jack Hammer, easily fixed with some time on a stone) and the SAR 8 makes one heck of a can opener. That's the hood to a rolled cummins donor truck (93 dodge) I am scrapping after I finish beating it.
I can say that I am one happy customer!

It sure is a fun workout, a great stress reliever and worth every penny! If I added up all of the money I have spent on just movies and cell phone expenses alone in my lifetime I sure could have a lot more INFI and something to show for it, including more satin upgrades! I started fixing and selling old stuff I had around the house like trucks, computers etc in order to feed this addiction.
