Can you de-assist a kersaw?

Can't understand why anyone would want to de assist a Kershaw.... But you can still "two hand open" a Leek. The torsion bar can be overcome very very easily.

A better option is to stop worrying about what people think. Sheeple will be sheeple. My favorite reaction is "oh my god, why do you have a knife?!?" as I'm in the process of cutting something for them...

so, lets say you don't have a carbide bit, and just a standard power drill, can you still drill a detent hole?
I won't say it's impossible, but it's extremely unlikely. You need a carbide bit because the bit needs to be harder than the hardened steel blade you're trying to drill into. You need a drill press because the detent hole needs to be dead perpendicular to the blade flat to work properly. It would be extremely difficult to keep even carbide bit dead square to the blade free hand.

You have any experience drilling precisely? Or do you have a drill press? If you have a drill press go SLOWLY if not I hope you have a bench top vise and a steady hand
