Can you help a Newb????

Okay I think I understand. Before the "S" there was no "S" and after the "S" there was no "S" so you can't really tell if its SK5 or stainless from the lack of an "S" because both SK5 and stainless came without an "S" at one time. Kewl. Thanx.
