can your knife stand on itself?

What if a knife has a pointy or rounded butt and you drop it and the butt sticks into the ground with the pointy tip aiming at the sky and you fall on it and impale yourself, only not in a good way?

There are so many things to worry about with knives.... What if the handle is made of celluloid and it catches fire (either spontaneously or from a spark -- you might be barbecuing) and that sets the sheath on fire and that sets your pants on fire and before you know it your butt is on fire?

What if you're out hunting and you're cutting brush to camoflage your blind and your buddy trips over his shoelaces and falls down and his gun goes off and the bullet would have missed you only it hits your knife and gets deflected and you get shot right in your butt?

What if you're standing on the street corner cleaning your fingernails with your knife and you see Britney Spears getting into Paris Hilton's car and you can see right up her skirt and you run to help her pull her skirt down and you're in such a hurry you drop your knife and it gets stuck in a sewer grate with the pointy tip aiming at the sky and then you see Paris is already helping Britney so you decide to sit down to see if you can get a better view from that angle and you sit right on your knife?

It's hard to know what to worry about these days.

bummer, he was just banned. and he didnt even get to see the pick of my trianed knife standing on its butt i just posted.

WOW...what would be the odds of a knife accidently falling on its butt and standing up...then you tripping at that same exact odd moment...and impaling yourself......
Kinda like that episode of Twilight Zone when the guy tossed the coin and it landed on it edge...and he had good luck all day till it fell.

Now as a soldier...I would use that as leverage and create a trap if needed

I think the point is that the odds of him falling on his knife are greatly increased due to the high probababillity of his knife being left on his floor in the standing position.
