Fear the puff! I think the OP will need a bigger knife to dispatch this pooch...

Orthopedics is like carpentry, lots of prying, cutting, drilling and hammering. If someone tells me their steel can do something I do not believe it can do, I will test it even if it took an earthmover and destroyed the knife. That's engineering---destructive testing.:) I have used knives to cut people from their clothing after a crash, I dug a watch out of the hot tar of a racetrack after a four hour event, cut open many cans, and took down three dogs after I was attacked on my bicycle. My knife must be all it can be. I did not desroy the Randall, the Dozier, and the Randy Lee I scored along the way. These are true customs not like a TGLB.

Yes!!!! This thread is back to the front page!!! Blades that support your weight and dogs that will seal your fate.

Wait a minute, I'm still confused. Were the dogs riding the bikes while carrying a IED?

yes while being dispatched by a guy standing on a knife that is trapped in a building in an unknown area

my question to the original story is why the heck was 1 lone soldier in a building that was going to be leveled???? that is the big flaw in the story that makes me skeptical, anyone else think this is suspicious:rolleyes:

Haven't you heard of solo operators? :D

How in the world did I miss this thread, and why in the world did I spend 20 minutes reading the whole thing?

edit - I see an opportunity here, tactical sharpened foot pegs.

Congrats, you just invented deer stand steps!

I was waiting for the picnic table to flip over on top of him  :D

This reminds me of a thread years ago that became quite famous in the "tactical" firearms world. The OP was a user named Gecko45 if I remember correctly and the thread took a turn much as this one did. The difference however was that the OP (Gecko45) would post long comments all throughout the thread and each one was more impressive than the last, unlike our OP here which I think had the opening comment and then a very short controlled burst in the middle and then nothing afterwards.

Anyway, I don't think it's prudent to post links of other forums here, but if you've found this thread even mildly entertaining, just do a google search for Gecko45, hell, it might even be the same guy!?!?!?

Holy cow dude!!! You are not kidding. His name already pops up on the google search bar. There are many many threads about this guy.

The OP is hiding in a cave somewhere with tin foil on his head LMAO. You guys got him spooked. The funny thing is ... did he already changed his name and jump on the bandwagon to talk smack about himself? Too funny

I never knew forums could be so much fun.

Time to come clean OP, love to hear from you.

Haha I just read through most of that, there is some real gold in those threads, Gecko has a friend come in and agree with him and they both take on the whole forum.

One golden quote I saw by the mall ninja:

Not a commercial. I destroyed over $2000 worth of knives in two months to have some idea what I was doing and before asking the question. I am about to turn my medical device design background into knifemaking and I want to how knife owners feel and what is important to them. I only carried a pocketknife before 2012, did not even own a fixedblade. I have now interned with two of the best knifemakers and was advised to start with a fixedblade. I had not heard of Busse or Emerson till 2012. I have now disassembled a TGLB and most of the Emerson line of knives. I am new to the forum and appologize to anyone offended.

I thought you were a motorcycle road racer? Now you are also a medical device designer but want to leave behind a profession such as that which I imagine pays pretty darn good, and you want to make knives. And you though the 1st step to knife making would be to destroy a bunch of knives with tasks they aren't made to do and that would somehow help you in your new venture??? Hmmm well I just duno what to say, this seems like a kid in middle school or something just saying random things.

Oh wait just read he also is apparently an EMT or something, as he's saving people from car crashes although I duno why you would need to reach in the car and cut a mans clothing off of him with a knife, that seems a bit dangerous, I believe that have sheers made to do that. And he also has killed 3 dogs w/ his knife when they attacked him on his bike. This kid is super man and I'm not even halfway threw the thread
