Can your knife support your weight?

I just tested my opinel.

looks like it supports my weight just fine :D

Hahaha! Classic! I'm not sure which is better - the fact that your opinel can indeed hold your body weight, or those socks!

I'm glad that I am not the only one that found the OP to sound like a plagiarized Cold Steel ad!

laugh all you want, i have a similar pair of socks and those pumas socks are soft as heck!

I thought they looked like Puma's. :) One of my favorite pair of shoes in school was a pair of Puma's. They had this cool pocket on the side that was perfect for holding one of the small throwing stars from the 80's.

Something tells me a little hidden pocket in a pair of shoes from the 80's wasn't meant for throwing stars if you know what I mean...;)

My BK2 has supported my 220 lbs.
My Tops Alaskan Harpoon has.
My Ontario SP53 has.

All 3 together, including shipping, was MUCH cheaper than $400. I'm just sayin'. :D

Perhaps a more important question should be "can your knife slice an apple?"

I just tried to get some nice apple slices with my overbuilt, tactical car door piercer.

Not the result I was hoping for. Looks like I better buy some pork chops.

The Coldsteel spartan can be had for under 60$ and can support my weight x2 and it's a FOLDER.

There I was, trapped inside a car, and the windows were rolled up. AND the doors were locked! Dr. Evil then dropped a building on the car.....

Spartan offered to replace the knife and of course the reply was "nice try."

Wait, why did Spartan want to "replace" the knife?

I'm confused, is the OP gonna leave us hanging like that, or is there a video to this, or what? I was expecting so much more when I started reading

Why would you reply with "nice try"?

Did the company assign you to a 'covert operation' to post that for some free swag?

Can your blade do this. Cut through an auto body with no damage to the blade and retain a usable edge afterward. We also drive blades into trees or wedge them between rocks, stone blocks or whatever is handy, and use them as climbing aids and self-arresting devices. The need for a knife that will bear the owner’s weight in an emergency is desirable. Spartan Blades Harsey Hunter fills the bill. Proven in the theatre of combat, soldier climbed out of collasped building (IED) using a Harsey Hunter bought used from a private. Spartan offered to replace the knife and of course the reply was "nice try."

So wait, this mystery soldier uses his "proven in the theater of combat" to escape a building(glad you told us it was collapsed by an IED), then when the company offers him another one he...doesn't want it, and instead replies "nice try"? Wonder what the knife must have done to disappointed him so much he not only refused the offered blade but then took it a step further and replied like that?

It is quite an attractive knife, I like the design. I don't think it's too thick either at 3/16".

Not a fan of the strangely spammy original post though... I hope that wasn't from Spartan.
