Can your knife support your weight?

Nope. Mine can't and it's really not a requirement from me for it to do so. I like spartan blades but they are overpriced IMO.

Can your blade do this. Cut through an auto body with no damage to the blade and retain a usable edge afterward. We also drive blades into trees or wedge them between rocks, stone blocks or whatever is handy, and use them as climbing aids and self-arresting devices. The need for a knife that will bear the owner’s weight in an emergency is desirable. Spartan Blades Harsey Hunter fills the bill. Proven in the theatre of combat, soldier climbed out of collasped building (IED) using a Harsey Hunter bought used from a private. Spartan offered to replace the knife and of course the reply was "nice try."

Regardless,

either way, I've driven my izula into a tree and stood on it.....then fell and busted my butt :o

I'm trying really hard to imagine needing my knife to support my weight. Nothing so far.

Same here. I have also found that my knife cannot blend frozen magaritas, cannot grate cheese, cannot be used for painting cielings, and cannot be used as a xylophone. Luckily I happen to own a blender, cheese grater, paint brush, and xylophone, so I'm in luck! Whew!

I have a question. If you are using your knife like a peg to climb a wall or whatever. What happens when you get to the top or the other side? Do you leave the knife behind stuck in the wall? Maybe you could tie some clothesline to it for easy retrieval? Hmmmmmm....

edit - I see an opportunity here, tactical sharpened foot pegs.

Marcinek, I am pretty sure I have used a knife to stir a mixed drink. hehe

That's why you need to carry mutliple knives....multiple $400 knives.....

I hope it was an extreme tactical survival mixed drink. :D

Yesterday I used the awl in my SAK to bore out the hole in a squeeze bottle of catsup ... stupid squeeze bottle. Never needed to stand on the thing though. Can't see why I would.

I don't know how tactical my mixed drinks are, but judging by the faces people make when they taste them; they are certainly extreme.

This is not a commercial and yes my Busse TGLB can perform all the same tasks.

A $5.00 prybar would seem a cheaper solution.
