Cerberus

Thanks Cerberus,

Your post at number 100 gives us a cool boost of good luck.. in my humble opinon.

Welcome aboard fellow Pirate, er, um, Mate.:p :D

Still waiting for all that signed up to send me their addy.

(In efforts not to be hung out dry, there are around 11 folks left.)

11 No Response!
That's just awful, what's that like 25%?
Sounds like GB&U is going to getting a nice long list.

I agree, of course not everyone checks the computer daily. I would think if they don't respond we still have over 25 orders, so hopefully we will have our knives.

We have enough for the 25.

I am just in a pinch. I want to order knives for folks that are serious without having a bunch left over to deal with and at the same time do not want folks to be upset if they were serious but did not confirm with me.

I think I will just gather what we have Wednesday or Thursday and do it, letting the chips fall where they may.

Once I do that, I will send out my address for payments.

People have committed and have had enough time to respond to you with the basic info to finalize their place on the list.

I would hate like hell to see you holding a ka-ka bag on this.

I say that we go forward with the list of 25.

Gus,
It's good of you to give the other 11 the extra time and the benefit of the doubt on this but part of me also is inclined to agree with Gig..

Perhaps you could post a list of the 25 that are good to go and set a deadline of Friday or what ever you deem appropriate for the other 11 to respond and then "let the chips fall where they may"..??

I agree, could you post the list of who's good to go, so we know who's who and who needs to do what?

i say we hunt the peckers down and beat them till they send the info-

i doubt they are sincere if they still havent responded by now-its been what 3 weeks almost

Check the sticky I'll have it up there in a few minutes.

I want to thank everyone who has responded. This is kinda cool.

We have one going to Malaysia one to the UK. PA has the most US ring knife nuts with TN and GA close behind and one of us lives in the same town as Joe Kious!

I promise to use these addys only to ship the knife (unless the cops come a knockin' :D)

I know who that is. We had done some business via email and phone. One day he called me and we met face to face at a new little knife shop that opened up in the town where I live. He knows Joe and told me a couple of Kious stories.
Gus, you may want to include some instructions on how the knife works. With so many going to GA it is likely those guys will be bumfuzzled about something they ain't never seen before :D

Yeah Gus, Joe Kious lives about a mile and a half over the hill behind my house as the crow flys, but "you can't get there from here" applies. It's about a five mile ride to take the road around to his house and shop. I go up and visit with him a couple of times a month. One of my most prized knives is a slip joint Joe made while he was still in Alamo, Texas. I got it in a trade for some sheaths. It had made it's way from South Texas to Salem, Maine, and there's still not a mark on it. 25 or 30 years old and never been used. Joe is quite a gentelman and a real pleasure to know and call my friend.

Gus,
If you do happen to get stuck with any knives, I'll pick up the slack on one. I'm trying like hell to resist the urge to go for two of these, so this way I'm kind of theoretically going for it.

Nice cover story to mask the mechanical ineptness of Tejasans. :p :D

I sent my addy again. I cannot remember if I did or not when we talked earlier. Been kinda hectic here at the homestead with the wife our for the past two weeks. Her mom got thrown from her horse and had to have back surgery, and my grandmother's health took a nose dive and went into hospice care Monday.....she passed on yesterday.

Thanks sunnyd........it is good to be accepted in piratedom. I do what I can and try to help out when and where I can. I am just glad that I was able to get in on this...
