First of all let me say that I'm happy with the choice of this knife, and I'm not trying to change horses in mid-stream.
I haven't seen or heard of a Ring knife before, but I'm always looking to add a new stag knife to my collection.

Who can tell us more about this pattern?
It looks like the main blade is opened by turning the ring. How practical is that?
Does ours come with a nail file? That's what the other blade looks like in the pic.

The ring works on a cam principle, I believe. The couple of turn rings I've ever handled were very nice. You should never break your nail pulling a blade out...but if you did you've always got a file handy. :D The file opens with a ring as well.

Seriously, I think it is a cool and unusual Gentleman's type knife, that should Spark some interest when you pull it out. I think Bastid said somewhere in here that our version would have a nail file.
