Anyone know how to have your information removed from their website? They have no option to do so on their website. I sent them an email requesting this to happen.

Instead I edited my profile with "new" information. You may want to do the same.

honestly I dont think its possible but what you did is probably the best way to go. just type in bs info and be done with the site.

very very upset with the way KE handled themselves with this whole situation.

Yep, just fill in BS info & save.

They have a message for all of their customers on their main page..

We experience a Witch-Hunt against us – We like
to inform all of our customers about the real circumstances – A link will be
posted soon - Thank you

I would very much like to hear the explanation.

I didn't enter and have no idea how you can get taken off of his mailing list.

I hope all of our members will find out what he did here.

For those that don't know what happened I'll post a link to the threads.

The thread he started last night...
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1062148-The-Hinderer-giveaway-disaster

The giveaway thread. The last few pages is were it started to unravel...
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...er-XM-24-Winner-will-be-announced-on-our-site

He ran a Hinderer giveaway for over four months to promote his site, and he got many people to sign up for his mailing list.
It appears the winner was himself. Looks like he registered under a false name and the false name was the winner.
His business and the winner have the same email.

They did a bit more than that  - but that is what got them Banned.

I see you got my e-mail! Hope this is the end. Looks like they are trying to put up some slimeball response. Poor victims of their own criminal intent. Maybe we should be contacting their employers about this scam they are running.

I never looked at his site, but some were saying it looked just like yours. Copying your site is pretty low of him.

I wonder if anyone placed an order with them, and if so did they get their order ?

Wow. I would also like to hear the explanation they will pose for this whole incident. Seeing how KE responded during the whole shindig, I bet there won't be any mention of the email addresses matching up just ranting and raving about "happy customers in the past" that we should look up ourselves.

I don't see how it was a witch hunt....

They got free advertising for 4 months at BF expense..... Saying they were giving away a Hinderer XM-24 to BF Members only....

They were questioned as to why that same GA was also posted on FB.

They were questioned once the winner was announced and was found to be a user with 2 posts and joined 10 days earlier...... That's what really got my attention and a few others to start digging and it was a huge red flag.....

They were questioned on the fact that past winners were within driving distance from NE.....

It was found out that the winner was in fact a duplicate account here on BF and the actual winner and NE were the same person....

All proven.....

Hardly a witch hunt....

When one does shady things they will get caught most of the time and they got caught, and banned from BF because of it.

Seriously though, this is bad business on their part and I can only hope that there is repercussions to their actions.

Need to kill that link to his site on the comp thread.

ahahaha... a witch hunt... damn right it was, but it was a real wicked witch. You aren't being paranoid if they're really out to get you.

I can't believe what kind of response he could possibly give that would argue against the real evidence that was found.

No doubt it's going to be your basic scammer bs spin. I don't even care that I can't unsubscribe/unregister, i'll just report everything that comes my way as spam.

As for laws and tattling to his employer (if he has any?), if anyone can do that i'm all for it. People should realize that there are real consequences to cheating, lying and fraudulent behaviour in this world, even online.

I have juno email. I have the Option to block someone email. can you do that?? I would just get his email then put a block on it. then no more emails from them.

Went to the Sunbelt Microsystems website, the parent company that started Knivesemporium.com. They are a Web Marketing company. Heh.

Found this on a legal blog. If it is accurate, I think Sparks should start a suit or even a class-action:

"If a sweepstakes promotion allows nationwide participation, the promotion must comply not only with federal regulations, but also the regulations of each state. For example, in California, the Business and Professions Code governs the promotion of the sweepstakes while the Penal Code (criminal law) sets forth the definition of a lottery. In New York, if the value of the prize offered is more than $5,000.00 the law requires that consumer sweepstakes be registered and bonded 30 days before the commencement of the sweepstakes. The state of Florida also has bonding requirements for sweepstakes."
