I guess thats why humans are also called "Long Pig". Here's a few "fun" facts:

- the eyes should be eaten as soon as possible, theres a water supply there.

- Liver has Vit A, D, B (including B12) iron, and zinc.:confused:

- the name given to the preferance of eating exclusively females is called Gynophasia.:eek:

- if in the desert with no water, make a solar still and place head (after removing tongue for consumption) and digestive tract at the bottom of the pit along with any cactus or other plant availibly. :barf:

- when in survival situation, its best to have someone with long healthy hair. when you are finished consuming them, you can then floss.:D

I would say that it is a survival forum and as such the subject is fair ground. However, we do have to treat the subject matter with a little bit of dignity or respect.

Hannibal, I would imagine that there was some kind of impediments to fishing. Sharks are sometimes plentiful, sometimes not. I don't think we can presume that fishing would be a winning method by default. Look at Les Stroud - God love him, but that boy can't catch a fish to save his soul - and his is a pretty out-of-the-box thinker.

(P.S. it is rather hilarious given your chosen handle that we are arguing on the opposite sides of this debate - but fun to do never-the-less)
 
I would definitly rather eat a nice healthy vegan even if they were a bit stringy than a fatty who ate nothing but processed food.

My buddy is a butcher and he figures he could cut proccess and wrap in nice brown packages a human in about 45 minutes at the most.

It would be a lot easier to eat someone you don't know or even better did not like than a friend.

If I was going to die anyway and my body could keep people I loved from dieing I would give my permission to eat me and would try to make them feel better about it.
 
Been thinkin about it before would i do it or would i not.. I realy can see my self having some long pork for dinner... Dont forget human meat is white meat so you must cook it all the way.. I collect NG this pic i posted was taken in the 1912.. You guys realy need to get your hands on the old NG from the early 1900 and before.

The talk on the grapevine is that vegetarians taste better then meat eaters.

Meat is meat. I have a book on survival cannibalism where it states that your body breaks down the meat of another human quite well, it's actually one of teh best things for you to eat if you're starving.

But speaking about the ocean events, where cannibalism seems to be prevalent, I've always wondered why one wouldn't take a fishing pole along?

The funny thing about fishing out in the ocean. There is not as many fish out there as there are closer to shore. I talked to a guy that sailed for many years. He said that many times it would take him hours before he get a bite. Pulling in some of the fish you need proper gear as most of the fish are on the large size. So the fishing kit we carry in our back pocket is worthless out there. They might not have had anything to bring the fish in the boat.

I've been a life long fishman and its true we have really over fish and polluted our oceans, but you can still catch things. People who fish for a living go after specific types of fish for market. you live a few dead bodies around the sharks will come munching. A while back I was watching the discovery channel about the USS Indianapolis, after the ship went down and how the sharks came to munch on dead and living sailors alike. Sharks can smell blood miles away.
