Canoe Fleet (Picture Heavy)

Cisco, here is the one I bought from Jeff. I like this knife a lot. Better than any two blade version I have.

Lets keep this canoe flotilla thing alive. He are a few pics of one of my canoes on a canoe! This is a small lake in Gold Head State Park (FL). I have a hard time taking an expensive knife with me when I know I'm going to be on the water with the chance to go in the water. So, my rough rider goes along for the ride.

Since you brought this up again, I'll put some new pics up (not new knives though). First is a couple of shell handled Cases, a gold pearl and a paua shell:

Next is some more that were easy to dig out. I've got about 4 more somewhere I can show you guys, but they are buried pretty deep (in storage closet somewhere).

The top knife is my avatar canoe and the knife is oriented so you see the side you don't normally see in my pictures. Next is a cell handled Bulldog. The bottom two are Case CV knives that were rehandled by Frost Cutlery (I believe) in multicolor acrylic. They're pretty, but unused. The avatar knife (Jeff Mutz) has been used and is developing a patina as would be expected for 1095.

I will try to find some of those others to post here or see if I have pics already.

Jeff, that CSC cannitler has a beautiful main blade on it! Love that ram's horn! - Ed J

I couldn't agree more. The swedge gives the main blade a nice touch.

Here's my one and only Canoe, a Queen in ASCB. I gave a satin finish to the bolsters and forced a patina on the blades.

Nice group there.I know those Colt are quality knives, but i just cant get used to the big C on the bolster.Rough Riders are impossible to beat for the coin.I have a passle of them.

Thanks fellas. The CS spear tip rides a little lower, more like a zulu spear, and has more taper than the more common broad, leaf shaped ones.
One of my favorite knives. The D2 steel doesn't hurt, either.

Mamba, that RR Canoe isn't exactly 'rough' either

Nice shield and secondary blade, that's Stag I take it?

Man, you guys really got it going on here. Some VERY nice examples of a great pattern. Here are a few from Queen that were a SFO by Ken Daniels ( I believe) from when he worked there. I love how the single spring Canoe just evaporates in your pocket.....

Keep your stick on the ice.... or in this case in the water!

There are some beautiful knives here.

I highly recommend the Rough Rider Sawcut Bone version, with nickle silver fluted bolsters. It's a looker.

I'll play. I've got a thing for 70's Case Canoes as you'll see.

Yet another 75 in Brown Bone

The Unicorn of the bunch. A 73 Case Canoe. What's unique is that the Indian etch wasn't officially introduced until 74. A transition model I guess? The dots which you can't see in this pic do date it to 73. She's a beauty though.

Here's the only current run models I own:

Amber Bone Canoe

Pocket Worn Old Red Bone. Good knife, just wasn't impressed at all with the "old red bone" color...doesn't compare to the deep reds Case used to produce.

Anyway, that's all I've got. I do enjoy the Canoe pattern.

Great thread, you all have great knives. I love the old Case models and Ed's singe blade canoe. I don't have canoe, yet. Don't really know why,but that will be fixed soon:D

Knowtracks, those Queen City single springs are really desirable. They have a decent secondary too not some wimpish little thing! I must look out for these but bet they're scarce.
