canoe pattern.

Brumby and SAK Guy, what's the significance of the number stamped on the main blade bolster on your knives?
I REALLY like your knife, Brumby, since my house number is 1217!
Those scrimshaw canoes are splendid!:thumbup:

They are serialized.

Lots of the Schrade IXL's are.

Thanks, SAK Guy! I'm amazed that I've been hanging around here for a year and a half and still learn at least one new thing (usually more) every day! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

My Buck. It serves as my office knife. Nice and friendly. Those Queens really make me interested.

I still prefer the Case due to the CV blades but the 3 3/4" stag Remington makes for the best all time filling slip joint in the hand.

The canoe happens to be my favorite pattern. Here are a few examples from my collection.
Top to bottom:
1973 brown bone case
Stag carl schlieper german eye
1991 pearl cripple creek 5 blade gunboat
1980 stag bob cargill large canoe

My life long best friend back home has one just like that second one down from the top. All nice Case Canoes!

I've always liked the canoe shape, but never owned one. I have to have a knife that does more than cutting, 1 larger blade for general, a small blade for mail and atleast a screwdriver with bottle opener, not neccessary but a can opener as well. Why doesn't anyone make a nice scout knife in the Canoe shape, I'd snap one up in a heartbeat.

Heres a couple of nice ones--stag Northwoods and a green jig bone Canal street-the green bone loks almost black but in certain light the rich green comes alive-beautiful.
