I have 7-8 canoes, and none have half stops. Most of the time, when the end of the bolster is rounded, the tang will be too, so no half stop.

Right you are! With a spey/spearpoint is the definition I use for moose... My mistake, I should have said muskrat... ;)

:cool: Of course the muskrat would have to have those California/Turkish/Muskrat style slim clip blades. ;)

Some also have an elongated Lambfoot or Wharncliffe as one blade, along with a slim clip.
