Captain Feedback

Hey jaislandboy you just hit on something I never even considered. As many chores as I had considered the Captain to be useful for I had never even considered it as a whittling tool. But I can see with all of the contours and curvature how it would be a great knife for whittling.

I also bet that you could control it easily as well. I also bet it could be used as a carving tool as well.

yeah JD,
i was amazed at how little wrist force was needed when I was whittling on some small twigs, esp if you start the cut on the inside of the hawkbill's "hook" (or the last part of the hawkbill portion .... towards the tip of the blade).... then follow through with the convex tip....like "butter".... ;)

If I hadn't expressly needed a knife for my non-knife-friendly office environment, I would have seriously considered the Captain. Felt great in my hand at the store, and is a really neat blade shape.

Keep up the good work!
