Full carbide platen!

I have one platen for sale with mild steel backer.
This one is milled out of 10mm thick mild steel with a notch to hold the carbide platen.
Carbide is 3mm thick glued with jbweld to the mild steel holder.
Plate is 8 inch long (203mm long) with four holes for attaching.
At 1” and 2” from the end of the platen. Holes are threaded with m6 holes.

Soon will going start and sell carbide plates in different sizes so they can be attached to a home made backer. This can be just mild steel with 2 screws underneath the carbide.

This is one of the plates i made for testing and thus can go.

Never a worn out platen anymore. Have my own platen already been tested for a couple of months now.

The carbide is perfectly flat. This was a prototype and i have flattened this one myself on a diamond stone.
Ceramic belt wont scratch the carbide. This will last a lifetime.

It would probably help with your customers if you took a few pictures (multiple directions) of a scale/straight edge on it with a light source behind it..... Checking for flatness.

Thnx for the input and will definitely do that when my first batch is in and going to sell those.
New batch is flat from factory within 0.1mm.
