Carbon Moras

I have a bunch-o-Mora knives. The 711/746 is the most comfortable for me and given the cost got both carbon and SS model (did that for most of my Moras). The SS Mora knives are good in my book! I did pull the blade a very very small bit out of the handle on a 546G batoning though some evil hardwood knots. I have some photos around someplace though may have posted them before. Minor damage and the blade was tapped back and now make a living working in the kitchenn as the replacement was 11 bucks.

I'm very fond of my 510 (won here in a giveaway contest:cool:). I have nicer knives, but the 510 is the one I seem to reach for and work with the most often.

What's the matter, you blind?
There is ONE knife with wood

You have just been flamed by Neeman ;)

Could you fill us in on how it broke? I keep one in my ruck, one in each vehicle and a 546 in my canoe. I use my own kydex sheaths and keep a spare Mora close, BUT I've never needed it. I would be interested in knowing how it broke!
Yep, have yet to replace my 511. It broke.:grumpy:

Now, how to say this nicely.....GIVE ME YOUR MORAS!(or at least one.)
:D:D:D

On a side note, I cannot wait to see those reviews.

I got my first one in December as a present and now own 12 of them .... they are like Potato Chips* you can't eat just one.!!*

I have a couple of stainless Mora knives and they are really good, they take a nice sharp edge and have decent edge retention.

But I also have 3 carbon Mora knives and they are something else! They take such a sharp edge that they scare me and they hold the edge really well. When I first get a Mora I spend 2 or 3 minutes stropping a microbevel and then they are able to slice darned near anything!

Them cheapo plastic handles are bloody comfy in the hand too.

I only have two Moras, both are wooden handled carbon laminated.
Between the full scandi grind and the laminate they are very easy to get extemely sharp
One of them is a carving knife with a thicker handle, it is a joy to use

I have three incoming carbons, a triflex and two regular carbons.

Looking forward to working with them

tonym, quit looking at my wood and suck my plastic! :D
