i am sorry if i have offended anybody with my statements. it seems i still have a lot to learn. it is nice to know that a lot of my lack of faith in many knives and brands can be laid to rest. thanks for the debate.
 
Guys, I think it's only fair that Daniel (buckgen5) get the last word (above) and thank you all for sharing your thoughts and points of view. (He took it like a trooper.)

I received a nice email from Daniel thanking the forum members and fellow knife knuts for opening up and sharing.
