• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Cargo Pockets

I carry most of my EDC gear on my belt.
In the pockets I have..
left front- 25ft paracord, insulin pen, bandaids, and my Petzl E+lite
right front- George Costanza wallet and my shiny-new Zebra F-701 pen.
left slash- cut-down glue stick, Bic lighter, mini Sharpie and gum.

I've taken to wearing BDU's lately. I usually put my wallet in one (more comfortable than being in back pocket), and SAK and keys in the other one.

While hunting I have a cargo pocket sized PSK in a water proof pouch on one side. On the other usually temporary storage for gloves, balaclava, etc.

I have seen similar pouches and considered getting one and modifying into a mini first aid kit and some other essentials like a source for light & fire.

What do you carry in yours? Anyone else have one of these - what's in it?

Mine's a work in progress. When I first got it I crammed all kinds of stuff in there, but it really was too heavy to carry comfortably every day so I started weeding some things out. As it stands I currently have a very basic first aid kit in there. . . a scratch and cut kit really. . . a few band-aids of various sizes, an alcohol swab or two, some gauze, and some neosporin and some aspirin. I also have a small pry bar in there, a small DMT sharpener, a spare set of batteries for my mini maglight which rides on my belt, a small torx driver set (which I can probably take out since I've been carrying my Native instead of my Delica a lot more lately) a mini bic, and a couple of flavoring packets from ramen noodles. . . I use them for a quick broth to sip on if I end up getting stuck working a long day in the warehouse. . . It kind of fools my stomach into thinking I've had something a little more substantial and keeps me going 'till I can get home for a real meal. Oh, I usually keep my Spyderco Dragonfly in there too as a backup.

I need to maybe add some mason line and/or para-cord and maybe a backup flashlight. Oh, and duct tape. A bandanna would probably fit in pretty well too. It'll probably always be changing as I try new stuff and figure out what doesn't really work in it.
