Carling vs. Guinness. . . . Let's get it on!!!!

Carling Black Label all the way. Guinness is some nasty crap:barf: :barf: I've tried it over and over again and can't stomach the thick crap. Even tried some when I was in Ireland and while I had to stomach the swill to keep from getting my ass kicked it's still nasty thick crap:eek:  Heck I've got 4 bottles in the fridge now that will most likely end up as targets for the 45/70:p :p

However, go to Canada and get CBL fresh from the brewery and wow is that some yummie stuff:D :D

Finally!!! After 40 posts, someone who sees the light . . . through the beer mug. ;)

I think this puts Shrike9 pretty much near the front of the line for any free folders that we will be dishing out. . . ;)

Okay, I now get the point that Guinness floats above Carling. . . but so does Castrol 10W30. . . .;)

Matteo, I'm going to have to try Guinness again. Maybe this weekend. . . if I can find it anywhere around here in Carling country. :) Maybe it's the "sipping" thing I've been missing. I'm more of a "slammer". If it turns out to be decent, then I'll have to send you one of my CBLs for a side by side taste test. Of course you'll run the risk of becoming a Carling swilling beer hound. . . but that's not really that bad of a thing. With Carling at $1.14 per case, you'll save a boat load of cash! ;)

  You know it's not nice to give somebody a heart attack this early in the mornin

Now I've got to go slam the last CBL I've got in the fridge left over from our Canada vacation to get the heart working again:p :p

PS.....want my mailling adress for that folder, it would fit so nice in with my bunker gear :D ;) ;)

Free folders? Jerry, just because we don't agree on beer doesn't mean we should stop there. I'm sure there is somehthing you've always wanted? Someone you've wanted to be in pain for all eternity? For folding INFI I'm only a phone call away for assistance in this matters :D

Jerry:
I'm hearing the talk but I'm not seeing the walk! Really, how can you make such a blanket statement without shipping me a six pack to test?

Looks like he's putting his INFI up against our 2 row and mash tuns Swede:rolleyes:...;)

Maybe what he really needs is a good sour mash slappin:p

Jerry, leave the Extra Stout crap alone and find some real draught Guiness:) It'll (should be) be warm(er), smooth, and have a slight "twang"! ...you know, just the way the Carlings guys MEANT to make theirs taste:p

Strabs,

Sorry man, but it's difficult for me to take advice on how a great beer should taste from a guy who works around fertilizer all day! I think you've grown to like the smell and therefore the taste as well. . . ;) It sort of explains the Guinness thing:p

Carling On!!!!

Jerry

Sounds like it to me, Strabs... :D

I used to spread manure on farms, you just learn not to smile - or floss well...

At least Guiness has a long standing mystery associated with it - why do the bubbles sink instead of rise? I read the answer somewhere, but I was drinking a Guiness at the same time, and for the life of me, can't remember why...

Shrike9,

However, go to Canada and get CBL fresh from the brewery and wow is that some yummie stuff --- Shrike9

How did I miss this the first time?????

You mean to tell me that you have been to the promised land?

Hang on,. . . .I think I'm crying. . . . .

Jerry
