That's pretty much what I've done since I retired. "Every day is Saturday"Thank goodness it’s Friday. Did you ever wonder what people thought before there were days labeled Monday or Friday? Nobody woke up Monday saying oh no it’s Monday…they just woke up and said hey it’s daytime. Maybe that was better…but they didn’t have Friday

So glad to hear you are on the mend! Hope you are fully recovered soon. I have always really enjoyed your amazing photos of wonderful knives.I wanted to thank everyone who sent me positive thoughts and messages. Today after 3 weeks of struggling with Covid in intensive care I was finally released to go home. I am very weak and have a long recovery, but I am alive, and happy to be able to be back online.

Thanks Sven, happy to still be here enjoying the hobby with all of you.So glad to hear you are on the mend! Hope you are fully recovered soon. I have always really enjoyed your amazing photos of wonderful knives.
Thanks GT. Yes you remembered correctly, we make apple cider with the family every fall, and maple syrup every spring. The apple crop in our area wasn't outstanding this year due to the dry spring, but if everyone pitches in and brings apples it will still be a great day.Great news that you're able to get home!
Praying that your recuperation is completed ASAP. Will you be able to help with apples this fall? (I hope I'm correctly remembering that your family has some orchards.)

Thanks Jack for the kind words. I wasn't able to post often, but I did check in to BF as often as possible while stuck in the hospital. It really helps the hours pass by to read about something that is of interest to me.I have thought about you several times over the past couple of days Rookie, and am very glad to hear you're on the mend now. I hope you make a full recovery![]()

Thank you all!Great news, Rookie . . . answered prayers!
Well, you have the ammo crate now all you need is a rifle scabbard.I decided to convert my old mountain bike into a more road friendly (and back friendly) around-town beater. I added a stem riser and riser handlebars, and swapped out the old knobby tires for some road tires. I also added the plastic ammo crate as a trunk.
It’s still not as efficient as my (also cheap) road bike, but I rode it to the river yesterday (yes I picked pawpaws), and it was much better than before. I was on the road about 4 hours.
Since I work mostly from home now, and live a short distance from probably 90% of the places I need to go, I’m thinking of maybe becoming that crazy old guy who rides his bike everywhere. I’m sureafishhunter would approve.
You gave me the idea to google “WW1 bicycle”. You should too.Well, you have the ammo crate now all you need is a rifle scabbard.![]()
