Very large Broad-winged Hawk perched behind my house. Birds throughout the trees are going crazy.
 
My youngest daughter (23 Years old) took a terrible fall down some stairs yesterday. Collar bone broken clean through and poking straight forward. As yet unknown neck injury. Collar bone fracture must be surgically corrected and surgeon will determine neck injury. Sent home in neck collar/brace and wrapped in shoulder immobilizer and with narcotic prescription. Sees orthopedic surgeon on Monday. In much pain. Surgery likely Monday. If not, certainly Tuesday. Please pray in you are so inclined.

Wishing a speedy recovery for her. Find the best neurosurgeon (spine specialist if possible) you can, neck injuries can be difficult.

Try to take comfort in the fact that young folk tend to heal fast. Not like us old curmudgeons.
