Nah, the gun from In the Line of Fire was a more sophisticated plastic gun, which was pretty prescient before 3D printed guns existed.

I'm aware. My comment was more about the pic of the gun.... The fact that someone actually built that methed out fever dream

Yes, I'm aware. I've seen the movie 3 or 4 times. It was meant as a joke, though ill-fated humor was likely the end result.

Sneaking that wild looking contraption into a presidential campaign donor dinner would have been as ridiculous as the premise that the plastic resin gun used in the movie could safely contain the pressure of a cartridge even as anemic as a 38 short @ 15,000 psi without blowing up in Malkovich's hand. What to speak of that plastic firing pin actually working (especially powered by a ball point pen spring) or a smoothbore having any accuracy whatsoever.

It was that quarter that really caught my attention. If it's a pre-64, it's likely the most valuable part of the gun! (Also meant as humor.)

Comments (especially mine) aren't always technical dissertations requiring pier review. They're just there to add a bit of mirth. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar! 😁

Depends on use. I don’t shoot match/bullseye and I don’t really do target shooting with pistols, it’s mainly suppressed and on steel targets. I have a small handful of pistols I shoot without cans.

I got the Elite because they don’t import many 9mm Elites, was just something cool for the collection.

IF I was looking at a target gun, I think the Elite would beat the Expert any day just because it being built for that, it’s a thicker barrel than other 9mm USPs and designed for bullseyes

Factory sights on them lack though IMO, they’re just standard blacked out target sights, I added a Dawson night sight to the front of the Expert just to get something better for my eye to focus on.

Between the 2 I like the Expert more just cause the fun factor and a lot of people don’t suppress them 😂 (and because I’ve shot it unlike the Elite)
