Carothers Performance Knives, Use & Abuse. Take 2

Hello! I should clarify, I was not referring to Joe's followers as a whole, just the ones who's sails seem to be fueled by their "hater" mentality. After scrolling through the comments section of the busse tests he performed, you are sure to encounter the fine specimens I'm referring to.

Yep I hear ya  I think some of those people just follow certain tests and will hate on what they want to hate on. It is unfortunate. I would say that most really appreciate the testing, and do tent to extract the positives out of the specific knives being tested. Those individuals that offer nothing but negativity should be universally condemned. The exception may be with the China Cold Steels...those are just kinda fun to bash on😄

Again I think it’s starting to go in circles. From the beginning of the thread I agreed that their is benefits to the video. For example the exposure and free marketing aspect of it. What ever tweaks Mr. Carothers did like tip angle, re enforcement, etc. only he knows what he wanted to see, knowing the type of test Joe x does. Now ,I still haven’t heard a cutting edge explanation other than it was a thicker knife. If you put it out there for feedback based on knife experience or knowledge, which it really doesn’t equate to intelligence you are going to get a lot of inexperienced comments. So use that to know your market, because if they had your experience and knowledge they wouldn’t be buying blades from you, they would be making their own. People are going to see a glass half empty or full. The inexperienced is going to see another knifes that’s not indestructible. Others will appreciate the abuse it took. Just wanted to spice up the thread and know Mr. Carothers is not easily offended.

Fantastic! That’s some of the best edge retention I have ever seen with a knife.

Let’s make the Fat BFK into a public offering

I’m ok even if it’s a 1 year backlog

I tore my rotator cuff, herniated a disc in my lower back, and then exsanguinated, from the second video
so you're saying theres a chance...?

I'm really torn about this one, I'm on the fence.

We are going back into production of the field knives because, despite having made about a thousand of them we have exhausted our inventory and have no shelf stock, which was not the plan.

If I was going to do a Fat Bastard Field Knife, This would be the time to do it.

But it's terrible timing doing a pre-order at the end of the year because it's unlikely I'll get the material in time for tax purposes. And it is, honestly, not a very good knife unless you're planning on needing to beat the shit out of it. The BFK is already far more durable than the average person needs, and it will outperform the Fat Bastard in every other way.

Someone talk me into this. The knife is objectively stupid, but that can be fun and sometimes we buy things that don't really make a lot of sense, just because we like it.

Look at this cool 45 Magnum!

I shot a squirrel with it this weekend.

(I am waging an unholy jihad on the squirrels. I have my reasons)

I won't post pictures of the outcome....
