Carpenter Park Hike II (Very Photo Heavy)

Very nice post. You are very lucky to get to be able to go on so many hikes in so beautiful a part of the country.

Espresso. And ultralight just went right out the window. So what your saying is we didn't see your wife and kids all with packs behind you ;) just kidding. Hope you had fun on the trip.

Thanks man, we love it.

I couldn't get my 6 kids to hiking, haha, except for my real son, he would go.

We were talking about heading up to the park again, this coming weekend, but they're predicting a high of 30°, which doesn't bother me too bad, but the light wintry mix might not be any fun.

That'll just make the fire feel good and the coffee hit the spot . String up a tarp. :)

That's a plan. We may go. Moreso than the weather, is navigating the hills. They were muddy this past weekend, and difficult, but ice is gonna be worse.

Warrior, I was curious, what kind of camera do you use?

A Sony Cybershot, model DSC-W55. They don't make them anymore. Been a great camera, for an Instamatic. If I'm not using a light box, I just leave it on the normal settings. I do, however, resize, then manipulate my photos in the GIMP program, to enhance them.

Another awesome post Dubs. I need to get out. It has been a while.

That chair in the tree is like something out of a horror movie. See any creepy ghost children running around? Lol

Your wife is lucky, that Breeden necker is awesome.

Looks like a fun time. Those are some great pictures, Dubz. Thanks for sharing.

The chair got me.... I've seen old cars and other things out in the woods that don't belong, but make sense. But the chair might have topped them all if I stumbled across it. So, please tell me you sat in it!

Thanks man, it was fun. The chair was kinda crazy. Those trees are in a dry creek bed, that joins the river. 'Twas strange indeed. No, I didn't sit in it. The wife got down there, but it's harder for my fat butt to navigate it. Also, this is a pretty well traveled park. It gets a lot of visitors. Someone was probably taking senior pictures there, would be my guess. I mean, where better than in a park, in a dry creek bed, haha?
