So im looking at some fixed blades to carry, but i rarely wear a belt. Do any of you guys out there carry a fixed blade and not have it hooked to belt? Im talking about a like 3.5-5 inch fixed blade not a izula or bk14 not a neck knife i mean a actual full sized handled knife. If you do what model would you suggest for it and how would you suggest doing it?

Boot knife? Strap it to your forearm? Buy a belt! :)

I have a few small fixed blades with pocket sheaths. A strong clip on the sheath will do it.
You can actually clip it to your pocket as if it were a folder or tuck it inside the waistband.

Im looking for something that i could clip on really. I dont wear pants with a belt loop except at work and at work i cant really carry any of my knives. Boot knives are cool cause they have a clip but most of them are double edged witch im not sure but think are illegal here. As for the boot knives i saw i liked the small sog Pentagon

I always wear sweats... isnt that uncomfortiable they are usually heavy?

I don't have much problem with weight.....I carry my ZT0200 (8 oz) allot and its not bad.....also I just realized the op didn't mean neck knives.....but yeah full sized shouldn't be that bad just as long as that's the only thing in your pocket.

i think heaviest knife i ever carried was 6oz. Idk maybe i could try it idk if my pockets are deep enough though.

I EDC my Laser Strike with it clipped on my belt and the sheath tucked down into my pocket. However, I know you are specifically asking about carrying one not clipped to your belt. Other fixed blade knives like my ESEE 5, I like to ride in my pocket while being clipped on the outside of the same pocket.

Thats actually.. pretty perfect looking.

It rides nicely like that, but it is a bit more knife than most people will ever want to carry in the pocket.

I wish my Laser Strike sheath/clip would configure like that. The holes don't quite line up right, although I suppose I could do it using only 2 screws or make some modifications.

the knife in that picture is a esee 5 u said?

I carry a custom Bud Nealy Aikuchi slid into a kydex that is attached with a static cord to my belt loop, when I grab the handle I just pull and the sheath stays behind, I'll post a pic of I find one.

If you like that over the shoulder sort of sheath, I'd check out CRKT's Uber Carry Sling (I just checked... It's called their Biotac Harness System). It's set up so you have tons of options for carrying knives. That said, I'm not sure about the limitations for knife sizes it will hold.
