Carry Options for a Fighter

Thanks Joe. Good convo this morning. I appreciate your time and input. I think this idea works well.

Joe can I ask who makes that grip for the S&W?

Badger grips but I sent him the linen micarta to do so

last I spoke to Jim at Badger grips he would not take custom material orders any longer but you can try

thx

Thanks Joe.

954Ink,
I think the answer to your questions is yes and yes. I need to be careful how I phrase things at my membership level but yes, I would like to know what the most useful or appropriate sheath design would be to EDC this type of knife. Or maybe I should ask, if someone was going to EDC this knife what features would the user find most useful in a sheath? How would a user rank things like quietness, versatility of mounting options, ease/quickness of deployment and reinsertion of the blade into the sheath, ease or quickness of installing or removing the sheath from your person(belt loops, sash, scout, shoulder rig etc.). What questions am I not asking that I should be asking?

I would think building the sheath so it's as minimal in size as possible and ease of removal would be top priority. Sorry for delay in response I didnt get any notifications about the thread.

AHH! I have a badger grip that I love, but was confused because I'd never seen them offered in white micarta, makes sense!
What a cool custom piece, great idea!

Thanks, Dave.
Does that knife have a guard?
Is that sheath just slid behind the belt? The belt doesn't go through the sheath, correct?

Sorry late getting back to ya. Been out doing cowboy stuff for a while. That knife doesn't have a guard but that sheath can be made to accommodate a guard. That is one of my Slot and Loop sheaths and so can be carried on the belt several different ways. It does have a slot in the sheath so the sheath can be worn under the belt with the belt passing over the sheath as this guys is doing. It can also be worn on the belt because of the loop on the back. So then the belt goes down through the slot and then the loop on the backside. This provides an angled carry that can be adjusted somewhat. By rotating things around this sheath can also be worn 360 on the belt. This is actually the same knife and sheath as above. This young lady had borrowed it from me (it was one of my own personal knives) for her turkey hunt. So here she is wearing it with the sheath under the belt. She preferred vertical but it can be carried angled too as the guy is above.

Same knife and sheath on me this time. Ya can see the loop on the back side. The two methods of attachment really make this sheath style versatile.

He was deploying quickly and was looking for one of my specific knife models, I had one in stock but I wanted him to have one that had corbys or Loveless bolts on the handle, not just pins. The one in stock had pins in the handle Asked him if he'd be interested in my own personal one. He was.
