I recommend: Don't carry anything. Even if you feel naked, it's really not worth the risk. If you're worried about a fight, get a pair of steel toed boots - should handle almost anything you run in to.
Of course, even here in Utah, I've known people who've been stabbed at concerts. Having a knife wouldn't have helped them though, in a crowded area where you can't even see who stabbed you in the back.
I worked "security" at a concert once. At big concerts, most the security is hired the day of the show, and it pays something like $10+ an hour. I lucked out and wasn't placed at the entrance to frisk people. My job was basically to act like I knew what I was doing, and to look at people's tickets to make sure they weren't trying to change into a better section. If I got into any trouble, I was supposed to go get the real security guards.
I think it depends on the size of the concert - at the one I worked, they had metal detectors, but only used them occassionally. At smaller venue's, they may use them more often.
The reason I suggest is not carrying is simple: what good is it going to do you? The real security guards at the concert were HUGE and very tough. I watched them cart off dozens of people. Personally, I'd prefer not to get my @ss kicked over a SAK. I can imagine their response over a spydie endura or other bigger knife.
Also, how are you going to draw a knife hidden in your underwear? You'd be better off using the time to get lost in the crowd. If you feel threatened, you can always go to security, or even to one of the many LEO's both on and off duty at most major events. Keep a couple good knives in your car, but don't bother carrying into the concert. Stay away from area's where there are no witnesses, and stay mostly sober and aware, and you'll be fine. You'll probably have a better time if you don't have to worry about being arrested, too.
