Carrying a fixed blade in public or at work

Knuckle-duster belt-buckle...
Detaches easily from the belt, but are just "assesories to your clothing when attached....

Until you use it and then good luck with that trial, at least in the US anyways. At work I always grab the big D-cell Maglites out of the truck even though I carry a much nicer one on my duty belt. Reason being when I hit someone with it to defend myself I could simply say the honest truth, He/She attacked me and I panicked and hit them with the first thing I had in my hand. If you have enough time to take your belt off or remove the buckle prosecution will probably argue you had enough time to retreat depending on the state. Norway may be different so I apologize if I just sounded like a fool.

Knuckle-dusters are stricktly forbidden to even own in Norway, but they detach without even taking your belt off....
When I used to work the door at a nightclub up here, we had our handcuffs and a Kubotan. Worked like a charm almost every time. If that did'nt work (think speed-freaķs) we had the three cell Maglite....

Sounds to me like you need to learn how to Defend yourself with your bare hands. Or you could get a pair of those nifty boots you always see in the movies with the knife that shoots out of the tip. Or a Kubaton keychain. I probably just murdered that word. Or last but not least, a body guard. I recommend you try some aikido though.

Uh...I worked for loan companies for about three years, streeting loans in the deepest parts of Appalachia and in towns where no white boy should have been. Having a weapon on you while streeting will cause you far more hassle than any perceived benefit. Get mace if you need something, but if you can't talk yourself out of a situation, you are in the wrong business. And yes, I talked my way out of two shotguns and a knife pointed at me at various times.

I switch between an ESEE izula and a Buck 105 pathfinder for EDC both are great. But then again I am gonna switch to a Becker BK17 and Ka-bar short.

I like a little variation in what I carry on me
