Carrying Lily

She sure seems a lot better today. Full night sleep, and no meds yet today at all.

It's amazing the way God designed little kids to heal so quickly AND to have a strangely high pain threshold at times! Like when they are actually injured! The rest of the time any little "hurtit" is the EOTWAWKI!

I hope all goes well for your little girl. It is so tough to see one of your kids hurting. Best wishes and a speedy recovery.

Hope she mends soon! Goodness knows how I never managed to break anything at that age...!

Hope she gets better soon. I have two little ones and it's so hard to see them get hurt.

Tell her that my girls packed a big box of fun stuff up the other night, and I got it mailed today. UPS said that she ought to get it by Tuesday of next week. I got in trouble with the kids last night for failing to ship it yesterday! :)

aaahh.. what a bummer.. so sorry to hear that Andy.. hope she has a speedy recovery...

Sorry to hear that.

I have not picked up my 5 year old in a week, because I threw out my back on Monday. I was just wondering what I would do if he got hurt. I picked up my 2 month old out of his crib today, and that almost did it for me. Really don't realize how weak you are when your back goes out (When you can bench press 350lbs, and can't put your own shoes and sock on when it is time to go to work).

Hope she heals up quick and right.

Sorry to hear about that, Andy, but I'm glad she's healing up some already. I've seen lots of kids break things and be out of casts before I could get rid of a bruise, so I'm sure she'll be running around in no time :)

WOW!! Thanks a lot Matt. I'll tell my family, and they'll be super impressed.

Well, I've never been even close to that on the bench, but I was certainly nervous carrying her out. You're right about the shoes though. What a pain it is getting them on...

She's doin OK. Hamming it up. She slipped out of the wheelchair while a kid was pushing her in the driveway yesterday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Dr today doesn't say we need to re-set it.

BTW, I've been meaning to mention Chainring's care package. Wow. Thanks so much Matt. Both my kids have been playing in those dress up dresses, and reading the books. Thanks also for the drawings, and the picture. Neato. The knife community has always astonished me in its generosity. Really cool thing to do.

Wow, I just saw this thread Andy. I hope she heals quickly. No father wants to see their little girl in pain like that, makes us feel helpless...

Glad they liked it! The girls had fun putting it together!

Hope the appointment today goes well!

Still. It was beyond nice. I'm going to make you a sheath. Pick a knife. You have a Ladyfinger? I have one done with a clip. It'd fit a Ladyfinger perfectly. I use the same pattern on my KSF Recluse. Maybe you want a Fiddleback sheath for one of those.
