Carson‘s new M390 Exorcist

I actually like the looks of the knife BTW. If the fit and finish is there it could be great. But that is not the point. The company has shady business practices already so I doubt they will get a purchase from me...
 
Talk about thread drift. Maybe I have to move all this discussion to FEEDBACK. I does not belong in General Knife Discussion. The poster has a website. It looks like a very incomplete dealer site. Not selling anything yet and no pics of Carson knives.

We had at least one thread on Carson Knives before.

That's why I've been saying that there should be a separate forum for new announcements of knives, but it'd probably require a lot of mod attention. Yes, there's a fine line, but this doesn't cross it, since the poster might just be a random poster. If you want to ban these types of posts, you'd have to implement a new rule that says new members can't talk about any brand or knife until they've proven they aren't a manufacturer or related to a company, but that'd be quite tricky. There are countless threads about new ZT models made every day. Should those be banned? I wonder how much free advertising ZT/Kershaw has made on Spark's dime.

Again, as long as the post only contains some information about the knife and pictures, there shouldn't be a problem, it should be welcomed by any knife enthusiast in my opinion.

I've only got the Evolution model from Carson Tech, but it's one of the most impressive knives I've seen in terms of fit and finish, quality, etc. You shouldn't dismiss them just because of this thread.

Along with The Gallery, there is also the What's New forum. They are just underutilized, but that has nothing to do with what the site rules are. A super mod has already commented.
