I haven't handled one but plan on purchasing a model 4 soon. What do you all think?

Anyone care to share a review? I'm not sure which blade style I will end up with, probably a clip point. Although I think I like this blade style better:

A fantastic knife and the very first custom knife I ever had made for me. Kit is an artist and a gentleman. I've got four Carson knives, and each one of them is special.

This Model 4 features a blade of S90V and red jigged bone scales.

Well. I might just as well show off my new baby, since you asked.

Blues,

You need to move your warning above the photo!

I only have this advice for you:

"Just say no to Crack".

Tell me that is an aftermakert addition and Kit didn't really do that!

Les,
Sad to say but I did it

The extra 10K that Blues paid made up for it. If I'm not careful, stag will be next.

If Les still has one I think I've found a clip point large # 4.

I hope he still has it. I am usually a day late and a dollar short.

This will be my first Carson, hopefully not my last.

Thanks to all who responded.

And Mr. Carson, if it makes you feel any better I kind of like the red jigged bone.

a little late chiming in here, but i got one from kit at Blade, and carry it constantly now.great knife,go for it.

I have a large M4 with a drop point S90V blade and CF scales. It is pictured with my article in Folders Fantastic. The M4 is built like a friggin' tank. Very solid construction and lockup. For those of you into custom tac folders, your collection isn't complete without a M4 in some variation. I love it, great knife!

Kit,

Well for that kind of money I might have been persuaded to take an order for that.

Stag is ok, just no Mokume!

Ladies and Gentlemen, no more phone calls please, we have a winner!

Shootist is now the proud owner of a Model 4!

Thank you Dennis.

Thanks Les. I really wanted one of these real badly.

Here is a pic:

Now the real question..... to carry or not to carry?

I never have been partial to clip points but this one really is growing on me.

Not a bad choice since I have never handled a knife of Kit's that did not blow me away.

Congratulations on your new knife Dennis.

I am not particularly interested in the whole 'tactical' genre, but I did handle several different Carson model 4 knives on Les Robertsons table a few months ago just to see some of Kit's work. I almost broke down and bought one.

I was very impressed by the quality, construction, and overall design of those knives. They feel great in the hand. Enjoy it Dennis!

Kit's Model 4 is a classic. I've had one since December and most of my other knives are sittin unused in my knife drawer.

And thanks to artsig1 I got my second model 4 last week. That knife is built so solid you could almost chop a tree down with it...
