Carved Filipino knife/short sword

I remember seeing that as a WIP, I can't believe you're letting it go for less than a grand... if I had money to throw around, I'd buy it, even if just to flip it :p

+1
Someone buy it fast or I have to sell some of my blades to try to afford this work of art

Chris, when I glanced over the first this post, I thought for certain you had missed a '1' at the beginning of your asking price.

Incredible craftsmanship, and a wonderful eye for form and detail. I'm forever going to be envious of your ability!

I was actually expecting to have to lower my price, so this is a pleasant surprise! it has been sitting in my closet waiting, then i got the bills and was like... well.. it has to go. i do have about 10 other works in progress, including a Gladius, a san-mai cable wakizashi and tanto, several american knives, two more wakizashis, a katana, a couple pocket knives, and a few other things that i am going to try and have done by Blade show. i may even get a table this year!

Thank you all for the help, and encouragement, i was kinda going through a dry spell, and this snapped me out for sure.

Nicely done!
Will I see you at Fire and Brimstone?
Larry

Yep! i'll be there. gonna hopefully have at least the san-mai wak done.

see yall there!
~Chris

This is an absolute work of art---it's sitting in my lap at this moment, and I haven't been able to put it down since I got home and unpacked it. Extremely light and fast but the balance and handle shape combine to give it a lot of power in a swing. Execution is flawless as far as I can see, both knife and sheath, and the fit between them is very tight. Now I have to decide whether it belongs on display or will live in the safe! :D

An already impressive talent is getting better and better here, guys. Someday we won't be able to afford his stuff. ;)
