I've always been a fan of Bill's work and think it is pretty cool that he is doing a collab with Case. I look forward to seeing what they have in mind!

I'm embarassed to say I don't know a lot about Bill Ruple but this is exciting news.

Great choice on the part of Case and sure to be winners.

"I have been making knives since 1988 and serve on the board of directors of the Texas Knifemakers and Collectors Association. I specialize in multi-blade folders. I prefer to do only slip joints, however I do make some locking folders by request. My first love is reproducing some of the older patterns made by the early knife companies, but I do make more "modern" looking knives as well." ... Bill Ruple

He is a long time maker out of Texas. He has mentored some others who are doing wonderful work as well (Luke Swenson, for example). It should be a great collab and very fitting since Tony Bose was who inspired Bill to take it to the next level 👍

I have had at least 20 of Bill's knives!! I still have two that I really prize, although they were all great!! He made my first custom Harness Jack!!
The second picture is a Greenbone Stockman!!

Got the email myself today. Exciting news. Ruple is one of my favorite knife makers. And from right here in Texas!

This really is interesting news, and I’m looking forward to see how this project develops.

I feel lucky to have a couple of knives from Bill Ruple. The workmanship on these is impeccable.

Here‘s an amber stag single blade Trapper…

And, here’s a Bow Trapper. The covers are vintage rag Micarta, and the shield is done in vintage Westinghouse Micarta…

I know the vast majority of his knives have the block lettered tang stamp. Every so often I see one with the more cursive Ruple tang stamp. Anyone know what the significance of the difference is? Changed over time or another reason?
