Case/Bose 09

It's a great pattern, I'm glad everyone likes it.

Likes it !! Everyone is flapping about like crazed loons over this one !!

I asked someone at Case what the choices are for handle material and they're the same as last year: jigged antique bone, jigged chestnut bone, smooth ebony wood, mother of pearl, and abalone.

yep...that's what I heard too.

A shadow pattern in ivory or stag would be pretty nice too...

I'm pretty sure there were some shadows on the page of the JR catalog where Tony got the pattern for this knife. If I get a scan I will post it.

Kerry said he needed to go to Starbucks for another double mocha, extra frothy latte and told me to post the copy from the catalog.

The sunk joints on this new collab make it a great candidate for a shadow. Why, you ask? The pivot pins are CENTERED nearly perfectly on the handle. ahHAAAA!

Kerry, do you have any pics of parts before assembly?

Mike R, those pix from that ancient catalogue have sent me into orbit:eek:

Can't concentrate on damn work today:D

Wish I had that catalog. I'd like to see the three-bladed knives in the top row of Kerry's copy with all of the blades out.

Here's another page of a reproduction of the Joseph Rogers catalog showing Norfolk knives.

Man!:D

They should've been revived LONG AGO:thumbup:

Wonder what else that's 'extinct' and 'lost' is out there waiting to be found??

Kerry, when is this catalogue from? It says 'His Majesty' on it, is that Edward VII or the one BEFORE Victoria , William IV?

I don't have it with me but I will get that info and get it posted later tonight.

I can't wait. I might have to get chestnut bone and ebony...well maybe. :D

Its a reprint of a catalog from 1894.

Thanks:thumbup:

1894 is odd though as the Monarch in Britain was Victoria then, so the His Majesty must refer to William IV or George IV, that's a long lineage:D

Fantastic pictures of knives there.

That Knife looks great, Case/Tony have quite a challenge in front of them on this one, as with all of their Collaboration Knives. I hope to be able to get one these when they become available. I just hope they put some TLC into these more detail to the smaller areas. It does look gooood. Thanks for the pictures

I love the Warncliff Blade and the patterns in the Rodgers catalog's. I'm sure it must be a hard pattern to make, as some modern knives of this pattern seem to have the Warncliff blade, cocked in the frame or as called Banana bladed..

I'm sure the Case/Bose Norfolk, will be a great knife for them.....

Can any of you gents tell me were I can put my name down for one of these?

That I would like to know as well.
I'm saving my pennies for this one so I won't be buying much for several weeks, which is good and er,very bad too....
Really wonderful knife this one.
