Interesting news and good!

I've not been that happy with my Norfolk, everybody else seemed enthralled but the raised spring when closed and gaps between spring&liner have disappointed me a lot given the expense. Plenty of cheaper knives have better fit. The shield is proud when you run your fingers over it too...

OK, it's going to make the long flight back across the Atlantic, will I ever see her again....
 
Well I got the new knife and here's the verdict

The main blade backspring is flush in half and open but not in closed. The smaller blade backspring is only flush in open position. The scales seem mismatched with one being darker than the other and there's a gap between a scale and bolster. The pros are they were nice and they sent second day air ups and sent me a extra case swayback Jack but I honestly wish I would have just kept the original.

IMO the Alsdorf I got for around $250 has much better f&f than the examples of the Norfolk I have gotten.

I'm not sure what I'll do now but I don't feel like going through the same thing again.
 
Just a quick update

I contacted Case againand they offered me a full refund but I opted to get one of those Tribals I've been hearing about. They informed me that they would have it thoroughly inspected before it went out to me. Very very nice people going the extra mile to help me out. I have no doubt I will get a great knife.

Well I got the Tribal Spear today and it's damn impressive. I'm very pleased with knife and Case Knives. When I have a little more time on my hands I will do a quick write up.
