The SHOT show is here already. Is this the time of year Case unveils the annual collaboration? I know some on here are aware and probably can't reveal the million dollar answer, but let's talk about it. What do you think it'll be? What would you like it to be? Any changes you want to see? The current material and steel work great for me. Would you like to see Damascus?

I guess a stockman would be out of the question. What about a eureka jack? Tony made one for a charity or knife club a couple years ago and it looked great.

For those of you who are wondering, ehem..Dan...it's the Wharncliffe version of the Lockback Whittler. I didn't get a chance to shoot the XX Prototypes this year but this is the pattern that they will be making. Try to imagine different handle material than what is on this one :)

Oh Boy! Hands down my favorite Whittler pattern! Thanks for the heads up, Kerry!

Great knife, great pics. I'm in.

THAT is going to be great. And if you don't need to trade two sebenzas for it, one will be coming my way.

It is hard to find lockback whittlers. There's nothing on the market between a $15 Rough Rider and a Case/Bose collab out here. It's strange.

Really nice looking knife. What is the blade steel, and where does one sign up for one?

Case has been using 154-CM on the annual knife. You probably won't see them until fall 2014. I just got my 2013 in December.
Just keep your eyes open and folks will be talking about them as the time grows nearer.

The closed length is 3 7/8". The steel is 154CM (CPM-154 per Peregrin). Here is an image from the show that some mystery person took. :)

Garry and Kerry,
Thank you for the update, looking forward to this one as it is also one of my favorite patterns.

Don't think you can teach that "mystery person" anything about knives, but he could use some help with photography. ;)

That is a stunning knife. Thanks for sharing.

Ohhh, that's going to be quite an item! Wharncliffe whittler is one of my favorite patterns, and this one's a lockback to boot...! *swoon*

Okay, time to start saving my pennies. I could reach the probably $400 or so these might ring up, by Nov.

WOW! This knife in ebony will be one class act. Stocking up the knife fund as we speak. I'm going to guess $450-500 on this one based on past pricing. Beautiful looking.
