Hello all, I collect Tony and Reese Bose, Bret Dowell, Menefee, and more Menefee. And then a little more Menefee. My question is are these collab knives really that well made? I have never seen one in person and don't think Tony would put his name on a sub par knife. I am aware that backsprings have snapped and other issues. I'ma butcher for a living and actually use every single knife I own. Makes my job a lot more fun. I would love to hear all of you honest opinions, and Kerry's for sure. His responses are pretty great. Thanks in advance fellow knife nuts. P>S. If these collabs deliver, I would love to see a shadow version come out. Anyways, thanks.

From my own (limited) experience, I had one Menefee knife and I have the 2013 Case Bose Colab. knife. The Menefee I have sold right after I got it, very light spring which I felt might be a risk for using. The colab. knife is perfect for me in all aspects.
I am with you on the shadow version

I did earlier today see on the book of face a few pics from the shot show of the teardrop. They had a single blade in ebony, a single in amber bone, two blade in pocketworn red bone and a two blade in stag. I will buy one with stainless if I have to but in a perfect world I imagine a bare head, two blade in chestnut bone CV.

hmm. Interesting indeed. I've avoided the Queen lockback whittler because of the weak snap on the small blades. This may be worth the risk...

my goodness this will be an awesome collab. I haven't been following case for a while-- when do these usually go on sale? I gotta get one (or two)!

Has anybody bought or is thinking about buying this?

I'm up in the air as I really want one, but the last TB Case knife I bought wasn't all I had hoped it would be, definitely not worth the price tag.

This collab looks nice though.

Haven't yet, could very well be a while for me though as I can't quite get up the coin to get one, but, I see they are making they're way into the market place now so someone must have their mitt's on one by now!

Someone in my FB group commented on getting one, maybe he'll step forward with his observations. I'd like to get one now, after seeing different pics. Not my type of pattern but I do like it.

Hey guys and gals,

It has been a while since I posted in the traditional forum as I kind of got out of them and started concentrating on building up my Strider collection (modern folders...Blasphemy!) Anyways, I just happened to be purusing a favorite traditional knives online store last night and saw the Case Bose 2014 Collaboration Lockback Whittler in Peach Seed bone and bought it instantly. Literally, I could not get the to checkout fast enough (and I didn't see the price until right before I hit the "submit order" button, but hey I did not care I need this knife! - Looks like a Strider or CRK is going on the chopping block tonight).

So...to kill the wait time until it arrives at my front door I was wondering if any of you actually have this knife, and if so, what do you think about it? Pictures would be awesome!.

Sorry I can't be of any help as I just saw this knife for the first time last night while browsing a Case dealers site. It certainly looks like a great design which is sorta a given whenever Bose is involved. I would sure like to see some photos of yours as well as your thoughts on it when you get yours.

that's the knife that made me join this forum, they are a beautiful knife, and if case have kept their end of the deal the fit and finish will be excellent, they are a complex knife and are in a class of their own I think, check out the whittler Tony bose makes himself,Ive seen his work first hand, left me stuck for words,Ive never seen better engineering or hand skills, amazing doesn't even cut it! still lost for words!
