Case Bose collaboration 2014 Lock Back Wharncliffe Whittler

I think I would jump on this if it was a slipjoint. It's quickly growing on me.

Cool pic of the old Dog's reflection ;)...

Wow, that makes my wallet hurt, real bad like ;)

Thanks for the photo and my goodness that one of Tony's is such a treat to view!!!

I am not the biggest fan of the pattern, or the lockback version, but every time I look at it, I am converted. Going to be a tough decision. Very nice offering, and should be a test of Case's skill.

Here's another image from Tony at the Shot Show. It's the T.Bose corner shrine :)

It definitely is a test of their skill. Tony says this is the most difficult knife that he makes.

Thanks for the pic, Kerry!
What's that Amber Bone Teardrop in the upper left corner? Is that new also, or haven't I been paying attention?

Yes, that will be a new catalog pattern this year. It's the same English Teardrop Gent's pattern that Spader used in the movie "Lincoln".

I just placed my prorder for the chestnut version of the whittler Now the wait really begins,Is it summer yet

I'm afraid my wallet doesn't open wide enough at the moment to buy one of these .
Do any any makers have a similar knife with the same blade shape and lock back feature .
I would love to own one .

Don't want to rain on anyone,s parade here, but I seem to remember Case had some issues on the previous edition with the two smaller blades being a very "lazy" - at least there were on mine and I had to return it to Case to remedy ( it was sent back to me better but by no means perfect ).
I'm sure they will have all the "gremlins" out of the system on this version and I hope I get chance to check it out (buy one !) over here on this of the pond.

Colin.

I'm very very excited about this lock back knife. I've almost pulled the trigger on the Norfolk, lanny's clip, trapper, and been able to shake each so far but I might be going down for the count with this one. And I can start saving now, just have to watch buying bunches of cheaper knives this year....hmmm decisions.

Kerry, not trying to derail my own thread here, but any idea if those teardrops will be available in CV steel?

I really have no idea yet. I should be getting catalogs as part of the Case Life Membership package and it should be listed there. A dealer would be able to tell you as well once they receive the new catalogs.

The Whittler looks really interesting and incredibly hard to build! Beautiful knife!

I'm also really interested in hearing/seeing more on the English Teardrop.

Wow that whittler looks awesome, I usually can't afford the collab knives but that one is just too good to resist!
