Case CV or SS?

CV is great if you take a little time and effort to prevent corrosion. If your the type that just wants to use it and forget about it stainless is the way to go.
 
I like CV because it attains patina, and is probably a tad better in edge quality and edge holding.

But the difference isn't major, and for the average knife user won't amount to much.
 
CV is a little easier to sharpen and noticeably better at taking and holding a good edge.

Which is more important, the above or ease of maintenance? The stainless is good stuff too.
